Hello Newgrounds!

Posted by TeamAerospace - September 22nd, 2013

I've been visiting Newgrounds for like 6 years now but it's time to finally create an account worth using.

I make remixes of video game soundtracks! Yay! ... What? ... Okay, yeah, most of the audio posters here can probably do the same thing, but I'm going to apply for a university course about video game development in the future, so I need to build up my portfolio beforehand. Also it's really fun. Expect something like 2 remixes every month, knowing that will make waiting for my next submission a little less grueling.

I take requests! Mention what video game soundtracks you want to get the remix treatment in the comments section of my latest news post, don't put them on the review section of any submission I make, that is strictly for feedback/praise/criticism only.

I read every single comment anyone gives, the only ones I don't approve and not shown are the ones that give a request on a soundtrack that has already been made. At the time of typing this up I obviously haven't posted anything but keep this in mind for the future.

What kind of soundtracks am I looking for? Well, nothing really in particular, just anything which doesn't have any singing in it. I like the soundtracks in most Nintendo games, Legend of Zelda and Pokémon in particular.

Why do I want requests? I know my stuff when it comes to good video game music, but there is bound to be a lot of others out there which I haven't heard of that people will tell me about and I'll enjoy. Also it makes a good connection with the fans I'll have. (Listen to me, saying I'll have fans? Yeah right.)

What sort of pedigree do I have? Not much, I've made my own songs privately for a few months prior to making this account, showing it to a few of my friends and them moderately liking the songs. I use Mixcraft 5. Yeah, it's a little dated, but the money isn't exactly rolling in for a 17-year-old Scottish high school student. I'm self-taught in composing and don't take any sort of music class in school. But I don't believe that matters.

Post a comment on anything else you want me to answer!
